What does OEM mean for a CAN bus immobiliser?
It means buying from the original equipment manufacturer, the company that designs and builds the immobiliser, rather than through a distributor. LockCAR immobilisers are made by AZFO Ltd in Birmingham, and we supply dealers, fleets and installers directly.
Can you put our brand on the immobilisers?
Not at the moment. Units ship under the LockCAR brand, with LockCAR guides and the LockCar app.
How is volume pricing worked out?
It depends on how many units you need and the mix of models. Send us the vehicles and quantities on WhatsApp and we will quote.
Do the immobilisers work on vans and commercial vehicles?
Yes. They run on 12 V and 24 V systems, so they suit cars, vans and commercial vehicles. Check each vehicle in the LockCAR Vehicle CHECK.
Who fits the immobilisers?
Your own fitters once they have been trained on the range, or a LockCAR approved installer. Installers who want to fit LockCAR can join as a dealer or installer.
Are LockCAR immobilisers Thatcham approved?
Not yet. Our CAN immobilisers are going through Thatcham Security Certification, and we will publish the details when a certificate is issued. Read what Thatcham approval means.
