7. LOCKCAR CAN Mobile Application

7.1 This section applies specifically to the LOCKCAR CAN mobile application, and to any other mobile application developed by AZFO LTD for LOCKCAR (together, "the Apps"), used by authorised installers to configure and maintain LOCKCAR CAN-IMMO devices fitted to vehicles.

7.2 Device Data
When connecting to a LOCKCAR device via Bluetooth, the App processes:
the device's Bluetooth identifier (MAC address / BLE UUID) and name;
the device's firmware version.
This data is used to establish the connection, apply configuration, and deliver firmware updates (over-the-air) to the correct device.

7.3 Location Data
With your explicit permission, requested by your device's operating system, the App may collect your GPS location at the moment an installation session is saved. This is attached to the installation report for audit and warranty purposes. You may decline this permission; the App remains fully functional, and the report is simply saved without location data.
Legal basis: consent.

7.4 Installer Account Data
The App processes your installer account information (username, installer name and ID, and a short-lived session token) to authenticate you and grant access to device configuration features. Session tokens expire automatically after a few hours.
Legal basis: performance of a contract.

7.5 Vehicle and Configuration Data
The App processes vehicle information (make, model, year) entered by the installer, and technical configuration data (detected CAN/LIN/ADC inputs, button mappings, combo-PIN sequences) required to configure the device's unlock function.

7.6 Purpose Limitation
Data collected through the Apps is used strictly for the purposes of providing, securing, auditing, and supporting the LOCKCAR product and service ecosystem developed and operated by AZFO LTD. It is not used for any purpose unrelated to LOCKCAR products and services, and is not made available to third-party applications or developers.

7.7 Data Sharing
Data collected by the App is transmitted only to LOCKCAR's own servers (lockcar.co.uk) over encrypted connections. It is not shared with advertising networks or third-party data brokers.

7.8 Your Rights
The rights described in Section 6 of this policy apply equally to data collected through the Apps.

8. About cookies
A cookie is a file containing an identifier stored by your browser. Cookies help us recognise users and improve LOCKCAR website functionality and security.
