- Does it ask for something your car key cannot give?
- If not, a relayed or cloned key still starts the car.
- Is there a subscription?
- Monthly fees add up. LockCAR immobilisers have none: you pay once.
- Does it suit your vehicle?
- LockCAR immobilisers work on 12 V and 24 V vehicles. The Vehicle CHECK confirms yours.
- Who fits it, and where?
- LockCAR approved installers fit at your home, at work or at an installation centre.
- Who supports it?

A cheap immobiliser that a relayed key can beat is not good value. One with a monthly fee can cost more within a few years than a one-off payment.

Keep your TAG apart from your car key. If both are on the same ring, a thief who steals one has both.
How to pick between them

- Choose the smartwatch ifyou want the immobiliser on your wrist with no extra fob.
- Choose the PIN ifyou want nothing to carry or lose, or you share the car with people you can trust with a code.
All four use the same idea and work on 12 V and 24 V vehicles, so the choice comes down to your habits and how you use the car.

Questions about choosing an immobiliser
What is the best immobiliser for a keyless car?
One that needs a proof the car key cannot provide, such as a separate TAG, a smart ring, a smartwatch or a PIN.
Is a PIN immobiliser better than a fob?
Neither is better for everyone. A PIN cannot be stolen with your keys. A fob is hands-free but must be kept apart from the car key.
