YOUR CAR
CAN BE STOLEN
in under 60 seconds with no alarm triggered
What is a PIN code immobiliser, and why does it not care about your key fob at all
No radio signal to relay. No fob to clone. Just a sequence only you know, entered on buttons your car already has. This category of security has quietly become one of the most trusted answers to keyless car theft.
The core idea behind a PIN code immobiliser
A PIN code immobiliser asks a completely different question to your factory system. Instead of “did I receive a signal that looks like the right key,” it asks “did the driver do the thing only the real owner would know to do.” That could be a specific button sequence, a paired app, or a proximity device, entirely separate from anything a key fob transmits.
Because there is no radio signal being checked at all, there is nothing for a relay device to intercept or amplify. A perfectly relayed key signal simply has no bearing on whether the PIN condition has been met.

Why it works against attacks a fob-based system cannot stop
Immune to Relay Attacks
Nothing about a PIN check depends on the key fob’s signal, so amplifying or relaying that signal achieves nothing against it.
Not Fooled by CAN Bus Injection
A message injected onto the CAN bus that mimics a factory key still has to get past a check that has nothing to do with that conversation.
Hidden From Casual Inspection
Fitted with no LEDs and no visible keypad, there is often no obvious sign a PIN condition exists at all, let alone what it is.
How LockCar CAN-IMMO applies the idea
LockCar CAN-IMMO builds on this principle across CAN bus, LIN bus and ADC bus vehicles, with a Bluetooth smartphone app (Android and iPhone) as the primary way to authorise the vehicle. An optional Bluetooth proximity TAG adds automatic hands-free disarming as you approach, so you are not required to interact with anything every time you get in the car, while still keeping the same core idea: no PIN, no start.
A PIN code immobiliser does not have to mean typing a code every single journey. With the optional TAG, LockCar CAN-IMMO recognises you automatically while keeping the underlying protection identical: the vehicle simply will not start for anyone who is not you.

Frequently asked questions
Do I have to enter a PIN every single time I drive?
Not necessarily. With the optional Bluetooth proximity TAG, LockCar CAN-IMMO can disarm automatically as you approach, without you entering anything manually.
What happens if I forget my sequence or lose my TAG?
Speak to your installer about backup access options for your specific configuration when the system is set up, so you know your fallback in advance.
Can a thief find the buttons or the module and bypass it?
Installation uses a tiny concealed module with no LEDs and no visible keypad, and vehicle-specific fitting places it out of casual sight, making it far from obvious that a PIN condition exists at all.
Protection that does not depend on a radio signal at all
LockCar CAN-IMMO is fitted UK-wide, vehicle-specific programming included.
