This is the less obvious but more important part: the system doesn’t just check for the TAG once, at start-up. It keeps checking for it continuously while the car is in motion. If the TAG suddenly drops out of range while driving, for example if someone forces you out of the vehicle, the system can trigger an anti-hijack response, configured according to your vehicle.
Why this matters compared to a PIN or a button sequence:
