Our Story

We started because we knew we could build something better.

LockCar was founded by Victor, a hardware and software engineer based in the UK. He designed the circuit boards, wrote the firmware, built the app, and assembles every device himself. Nothing is imported. Nothing is rebranded. Every component was chosen by the same person who will come to your door and fit it.

The idea came from a simple observation. The market was selling immobilisers for £500 that connected directly to the car’s ECU network, the electronic brain that runs everything from your engine to your dashboard. That connection was causing problems: diagnostic errors, warning lights, and in some cases cars that would not start. We knew there was a better way.

So we built a relay-based system that physically cuts the engine circuit without touching the vehicle’s electronics at all. No CAN bus interference. No ECU errors. No comebacks. Just a device that does exactly what it promises.

What We Stand For

Three things we will never compromise on.

Honesty about what our products do. We will never claim our system stops every possible theft method. What we will say is this: it physically prevents relay attacks, the most common form of modern car theft, and it does so without any risk to your car’s electronics. That is what matters.
One point of contact, always. When something matters, you should be able to speak to the person who is responsible. We will never hide behind a support ticket or a phone menu. The engineer who built your device is the person you call.
Products that do not damage your car. We made a deliberate choice to build relay-based systems rather than CAN bus devices. That choice costs us more in engineering time. But it means we can look every customer in the eye and say: this will not cause problems with your car’s electronics. That matters more than the margin.
