The form takes about two minutes, there is no joining fee, and one of our team will be in touch within two working days.

How To Become A LockCAR Installer
1. Installer Registration
Complete your Installer Registration above. It takes about 2 minutes. A member of the LockCAR team will check your details and be in touch within two working days. If we can’t reach you by phone, we’ll follow up by email.
2. Phone Call
We’ll call you to talk through the LockCAR CAN-IMMO immobiliser, your experience and your equipment, and answer any questions. If you meet our criteria, we’ll book you onto a training day.
3. Training & Approval
Order your CAN-IMMO practice unit, then attend your training day and install it, ideally on your own vehicle so it becomes your demo unit. Once assessed and certified, you become an approved installer.

This is the unit you’ll fit during your training. You keep it once it’s installed, so most installers put it on their own vehicle and use it as a live demo for customers.

Installer Training
To become an approved LockCAR installer, you must have previous auto-electrician experience and attend one of our training days. On the course, you’ll learn how to install the LockCAR CAN-IMMO immobiliser from start to finish.
You’ll need your own CAN-IMMO unit to install during training. It’s ordered separately from our shop and it’s yours to keep. The training also includes marketing material and practical tips to help you start generating enquiries as soon as you’re approved.
Applicants must already have hands-on auto-electrician or vehicle security experience. This isn’t an entry-level training programme; it’s a certification for tradespeople already working on vehicles.
The online form only asks for the basics: your business name and type (with company number for limited companies), postcode, contact details and years of experience. We’ll talk through your work and equipment on the phone call.

Can I return the practice unit?
The practice unit is a business purchase, so it can’t be returned because you change your mind, decide not to complete the training, or can’t complete the installation. If the unit is faulty, we’ll repair or replace it. If we have to cancel your training day, we’ll arrange another date with you. Full details are in sections 10 and 11 of our Terms and Conditions.

Yes. Approved installers feature on the LockCAR website, installer map and social media, and get access to free marketing materials to help grow enquiries.
