LockCar CAN-IMMO is, at its foundation, a PIN code immobiliser. You set a personal sequence, entered on buttons that already exist in your car, no new keypad fitted, nothing extra for anyone to spot. Get the sequence right, and the engine is authorised to start. Get it wrong, or skip it entirely, and it is not.
This is the primary way the device works, every day, on its own. No radio signal is checked anywhere in that process, which is precisely why a relay attack or a cloned key has nothing to intercept.
Why CAN, LIN and ADC bus is not a side detail, it is the point
LockCar CAN-IMMO connects to your vehicle’s CAN bus, LIN bus or ADC bus network for one specific reason: it is what lets the device read a PIN sequence entered on your car’s own existing buttons, across a wide range of makes and models. Supporting all three network types from a single unit is what makes PIN code entry possible on such a broad range of vehicles, rather than a narrow list.
CAN Bus
The primary network in most modern vehicles, carrying the messages your PIN sequence is read from.
LIN Bus
A secondary network many vehicles use, extending PIN code support to models a CAN-only device would miss.
ADC Bus

Entering a PIN sequence every single start works perfectly well, and is how the device is designed to be used on its own. For owners who want a bit more convenience, an optional Bluetooth proximity TAG is available. Keep it on you, and the vehicle recognises you automatically, without needing to enter the PIN sequence at every start.
This is a genuine advantage over PIN-only competitors that offer no such upgrade path. It is worth being clear about what it is, though: a convenience addition, not a replacement for the PIN, and not required for the device to work.
The TAG is additive. If it is left at home, forgotten, or its battery runs flat, your PIN sequence remains available as it always was, since it is the foundation the whole system is built on.
Where the app actually fits in
A companion app exists for special configuration cases, but it is entirely optional, and not everyone will use it. Day to day use of LockCar CAN-IMMO does not require a phone, an app, or any connectivity at all. Your PIN sequence, entered on your car’s own buttons, is the main and most reliable way the device is used.
