CAN BE STOLEN
in under 60 seconds with no alarm triggered
Some LockCar systems do not just block the engine, they run their own brain
CAN-IMMO is a focused CAN bus PIN immobiliser. Other models in the LockCar range, like the IS357 and IC3ST, are built around a dedicated control unit, the MCU, that runs independently of the vehicle’s own electronics and adds hands-free TAG detection and anti-hijack protection on top of engine immobilisation.
Why an independent unit changes what is possible
LockCar’s MCU based immobilisers, including the IS357 and IC3ST, are built to operate independently of the rest of the vehicle’s electronics rather than relying entirely on the car’s own network. The unit connects into the starting system via a high power cable rated up to 30A and acts on its own configured rules.
The unit is built for reliability in demanding conditions, rated to operate at temperatures up to 85 degrees Celsius, with overheat protection that shuts it down safely if that threshold is exceeded, resuming normal operation once conditions return to normal. Energy consumption is managed to avoid draining the vehicle’s battery while the system is armed.
Because the anti-hijack function sits on this same independent unit, it can safely block the engine in motion if the authorised TAG is no longer detected, according to how the vehicle has been configured.
Disarming without touching a keypad or a phone
Both the IS357 and IC3ST include a LockCar TAG ID fob as standard, and the system disarms automatically once you and the TAG come within its detection range, up to 5 metres on the IS357. There is no PIN to enter and no app to open just to get moving.
The IS357 goes a step further with support for a trust device, such as a smartwatch or smart ring, which the MCU can recognise as being inside the vehicle and use to disarm it. The LockCar app is still there for configuration and control over Wi-Fi, but day to day driving does not depend on it.
Hands-free TAG detection and anti-hijack protection work together: the same TAG that lets you disarm the car by approaching it is what the system checks for continuously while you drive.

Frequently asked questions
Do LockCar’s MCU based immobilisers include GPS tracking or a live camera?
The IS357 and IC3ST immobilisers do not include GPS tracking or a live camera. LockCar offers GPS trackers and 4G dashcams as separate product lines, ask LockCar if you want to combine these with an immobiliser.
What is a trust device?
On the IS357, a trust device such as a smartwatch or smart ring can be recognised by the MCU as being present in the vehicle and used to disarm the system.
Do I need the app to drive the car day to day?
No. The included TAG handles day-to-day disarming within its detection range. The app is used for configuration and control.
What is the warranty on these models?
The IS357 and IC3ST each carry a 2 year warranty. CAN-IMMO carries a 12 month warranty.
