Scorpion Automotive has manufactured vehicle security since the 1970s, and the X-Series is its CAN bus PIN immobiliser. It connects into the vehicle’s CAN network and generates a personal PIN entered using existing dash and steering wheel buttons, in a sequence of 4 to 20 presses chosen by the owner.

It emits no radio signal and has no visible components, so it cannot be scanned for or spotted by inspection. The unit arms itself automatically once the vehicle is switched off, and can be removed and refitted to a different car later without leaving a trace.
