LFM platform features
The LFM dashboard provides a real-time map view of every LockCar-equipped vehicle in the fleet. Vehicle icons update continuously, showing current GPS position, heading, and speed. Clicking any vehicle icon opens a detail panel showing that vehicle’s immobilisation status, last known driver tag authentication event, current camera feed if the vehicle has a 4G dashcam installed, and a summary of recent activity.
Trip history is logged for every vehicle, providing a searchable record of routes, stop times, distances covered, and driver behaviour events including harsh braking, rapid acceleration, and speeding. This data supports both operational efficiency analysis, identifying inefficient routes and extended stop times, and compliance management including working time tracking and fuel consumption reporting.
Remote immobilisation is accessible from the LFM dashboard for all 4G-connected vehicles in the fleet. A fleet manager can select any vehicle and activate or deactivate the immobiliser remotely. This capability supports vehicle access management, maintenance lockout, and emergency response to theft in progress. All remote immobilisation events are logged with timestamp and user identity for audit purposes.

How LockCar stops this threat
LockCar installs a hardwired relay break in the vehicle start circuit. This break is positioned downstream of the factory immobiliser, the OBD port, and the CAN bus. Even after a successful relay attack or CAN bus injection, the engine will not start because the LockCar relay is open. Closing it requires a second, independent encrypted authentication that relay equipment cannot replicate.
