LockCar — UK-made vehicle security for every threat
LockCar designs, engineers, and manufactures vehicle security systems in the United Kingdom. From standalone relay immobilisers at £79 to 4G dashcam systems with live GPS and remote immobilisation, every LockCar product is built to address the specific threat environment facing UK vehicle owners and fleet operators. This page explains who LockCar is, what we make, and why UK manufacture matters.
On this page
Most vehicle security products sold in the UK are designed overseas, manufactured in bulk for global markets, and adapted for domestic conditions as an afterthought. LockCar is different. Every product in the LockCar range is developed in response to the specific attack methods, vehicle platforms, and regional crime patterns affecting UK drivers and businesses. The result is a product ecosystem that fits UK conditions more precisely than any imported equivalent — and that is supported by engineers who understand the UK market from the ground up.
Who is LockCar?
LockCar is a UK vehicle security manufacturer specialising in relay immobilisers, 4G dashcam systems, GPS tracking, fleet monitoring, and mobile security applications. The company develops its products specifically for the UK market, responding to the relay and CAN bus attack methods that have driven a surge in vehicle crime across the West Midlands, Greater Manchester, London, and other major UK regions. Victor, LockCar’s founder and lead engineer, personally oversees installations and product development — ensuring that customer feedback from real-world theft scenarios directly informs future product improvements.
LockCar serves individual vehicle owners, tradespeople, SMEs, and large fleet operators across the United Kingdom. The product range spans from entry-level wired immobilisers at £79 to premium 4G dashcam-plus-immobiliser systems with dual cameras, real-time GPS, and full fleet monitoring platform integration. Every product is installed by trained LockCar engineers via a mobile service — no workshop visit required.
Why UK manufacture matters for vehicle security
Vehicle crime is not a uniform global problem. The specific attack methods used in the UK — relay amplification targeting British keyless entry implementations, CAN bus injection tools developed for UK-market vehicle platforms, and the organised crime infrastructure across the West Midlands and Greater Manchester — require countermeasures designed with UK conditions in mind. Relay equipment circulating in UK criminal networks may operate on frequencies or with power levels that differ from those used in other markets. CAN bus attack tools are often developed for the vehicle mix that dominates a specific market’s theft statistics.
A UK manufacturer can respond to new attack methods as they emerge in the UK market — not months later when a global product update cycle reaches the domestic distributor. LockCar’s product development cycle is driven by intelligence from UK police operations, insurer data, and direct feedback from customers who have experienced theft attempts. This responsiveness is not possible with overseas-designed and manufactured products.
UK manufacture also means UK-standard wiring, UK-standard electrical connectors, and installation procedures developed for UK-market vehicles. Domestic vehicles sold in the UK often have slightly different electrical architectures from the same models sold in continental Europe or elsewhere — particularly in connector types, fuse ratings, and module positions. LockCar engineers are trained on UK-market vehicle specifics, reducing installation time and the risk of compatibility issues.
LockCar immobiliser range — six models from £49
LockCar manufactures six distinct immobiliser models, covering every use case from basic wired installation to sophisticated dual-factor standalone systems. The i124 and i125 are entry-level wired units for straightforward installations. The i226 and ic326 add isolated MCU communication and Wi-Fi connectivity respectively. The IC3ST and IS357 are standalone dual-factor systems with app and proximity tag authentication that require no separate MCU. All models support 12V installations; the i226, ic326, IC3ST, and IS357 also support 24V for commercial platforms.
LockCar 4G dashcam range — four models from £199
LockCar’s dashcam range integrates the relay immobiliser and the camera system in a single unit with shared control via the LockCar app. The LockCar ONE provides professional SD dashcam recording plus hardwired relay immobiliser with no monthly subscription. The LockCar One Plus adds 4G GPS tracking and live camera streaming. The Duo RH and Duo LH add dual-camera coverage — front-facing plus driver/interior — in both local-storage and 4G-connected variants. All dashcam systems are Power ON 24/7 with smart parking mode.
LockCar Fleet Monitoring Platform — LFM
The LockCar Fleet Monitoring Platform (LFM) is a web and mobile dashboard for businesses operating five or more LockCar-equipped vehicles. The LFM centralises real-time GPS location, camera feeds, immobilisation status, trip history, driver behaviour metrics, and remote immobilisation control for every vehicle in the fleet. It is available as a web dashboard and as the LFM iOS App for mobile fleet management. Fleet pricing is based on vehicle count — contact LockCar for a fleet quote.
LockCar mobile apps — three dedicated applications
LockCar provides three dedicated mobile applications for different user roles. The LockCar Android App and LockCar iOS App are the primary control and monitoring applications for individual vehicle owners and drivers — providing immobiliser status, GPS location, live camera access, and alert management. The LockCar IMMO App is a dedicated standalone interface for direct communication with LockCar standalone immobiliser systems, providing control and configuration without requiring a full LockCar ONE or One Plus system. The LFM iOS App is the fleet management interface for administrators operating multiple vehicles.
Mobile installation — UK-wide, same-day available
Every LockCar product is installed by a mobile engineer who comes to your home, workplace, depot, or any accessible location. There is no need to take your vehicle to a workshop. LockCar’s mobile service covers the entire UK, with same-day and next-day appointments available in most areas. Installation typically takes 60 to 90 minutes. Every installation comes with full documentation for insurance purposes and a post-installation system test confirming all functions are operational.

Are LockCar products available to buy and self-install?
LockCar products are designed for professional installation by trained engineers who understand vehicle electrical systems. Self-installation is technically possible but may void the product warranty and reduces effectiveness if the wiring routing is not optimised for your specific vehicle. We recommend professional installation for all models.
How does LockCar compare to other UK immobiliser brands?
LockCar is one of the few fully UK-designed and manufactured immobiliser ranges. The primary differentiator is the combination of physical relay break technology, isolated MCU communication architecture, and the integrated dashcam-plus-immobiliser product line — a combination not offered by most UK competitors. LockCar also provides dedicated mobile apps and a fleet monitoring platform, giving it a broader ecosystem than standalone immobiliser-only brands.
Can I see LockCar products demonstrated before buying?
Contact us via WhatsApp or phone. Victor can arrange a product demonstration at your location alongside the installation appointment. We are happy to show the system operating on a test vehicle and explain exactly how the relay break and authentication work before you commit to installation.
